Community members can now access a pre-publication proof of the book chapter: Living Laboratory®: A Mutual Professional Development Model for Museum-based Research Partnerships, which will appear in Relating Research and Practice: Cognitive Development in Museum Settings (edited by J. Jipson and D. Sobel), to be published by Psychology Press.

NLL 2015 Academic Cohort Meeting - Philadelphia, PA

A Living Laboratory Academic Cohort meeting was held on Wednesday, March 18th in conjunction with the Society for Research in Child Development conference in Philadelphia, PA. Discussion (among project team members, academic collaborators and NSF staff) centered on how Living Laboratory activities might be positioned as Broader Impacts in National Science Foundation proposals. University of Wisconsin publishes two articles out of Living Lab at Madison Children's Museum

Congratulations to the Social Kids Lab at UW-Madison and the Madison Children's Museum on two new publications - the first to result from their Living Laboratory partnership! One study looked at children's judgments around social power. Another study examined how children choose to share resources with others.

Hub Leaders and project staff from Maryland Science Center, Madison Children's Museum, OMSI and Museum of Science were on hand to talk about upcoming Living Laboratory opportunities and events, and to demonstrate research toy activities.
